It's been a while since we've posted anything, and things had been going really well for Katie in her recovery. Unfortunately, we've had a pretty major setback. On Sunday, Katie spiked a fever, which prompted a visit with her doctor on Monday, where they discovered fluid building up around her lungs. Her breathing worsened throughout Tuesday, and we had to admit her last night. This morning they inserted a chest tube to drain the fluid. It's been a rough 24 hours, but Katie seems to be stabilized and recovering from the multiple procedures.
We've had multiple scans and biopsies, and we're awaiting final results from her tests to determine what's causing this and what the treatment plan will entail. We're hoping to know something by Friday. In the meanwhile, here are some prayer requests: 1. Wisdom for the medical team as they pour over the test results. 2. Healing for Katie's body. 3. Peace and rest for our minds. This is devastating for all of us, and waiting is the hardest. 4. Strength and perseverance for Katie. Thanks for continuing to walk with us. Your support and prayers through this journey have meant the world to us. In Christ Alone, The Cobbs

We will light a candle & say prayers for all of you but especially Katie. Sarah, I know we haven't met but obviously Kadin & Aaron are close & both Kadin & Tarek have kept me in the loop on Katie. I have been praying for her. I got the boys team katie shirts @ Christmas. We are behind you all throughout this journey. We are here for anything you may need. Don't hesitate to ask. We want to help but don't know how.

Prayers for healing, for comfort, for an endurance of faith, and for all of the glory to be shown to the Lord for the great things he is doing and is going to do! We come to him expecting and believing in his healing. He's a great great father who loves and cares for us and in that there is peace. Claiming victory in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Joe and I have been praying for Katie and your family. We truly believe God is able to do whatever we ask in Jesus name. We also know miracles come in many different ways. His ways are not our ways but we pray for His perfect will to be accomplished. We pray the doctors will be totally guided by the Holy Spirit in Katie's recovery and healing!

God is using your family in a mighty way. As I studied John 18-19 I was struck by the way in which Jesus never wasted one moment to speak truth to those around him. Even when he spoke very little, he spoke profoundly despite his emotional, physical and ultimately spiritual pain. Always....always going after his lost sheep. Always looking at the purpose in his pain. I see this in your family. This mountain....this impossible cup he has asked you and your family to drink. It is filled to the brim with his glorious purpose. I am praying for God to fill you each with his Holy Spirit to the point of overflowing. That an immense peace that surpasses understanding would swallow you whole. That it would radiate from you and light the path before you. I pray for a supernatural healing to come on as suddenly as her fever came on last week. And I pray for God to give glimpses of his purpose so great that the horror of this season would be snuffed out before your eyes. He took the tragedy and darkness of the cross and made it so beautiful we wear it around our necks. He will resurrect this season for your family in time in his way. I love you all more now than ever before.
